well i write to you because i cant keep this to my self.. i had to share it with you my friends.. Because if i dont shout it out load i may go nuts.. well, ever since i left home (my parents house in Jeddah) to come here to the UAE, i wanted to buy a piano because the piano we had in Jeddah has become inaccessible for me and very far away.. and to make it worse my elder brother took it when he got married and moved out (it was a gift from dad to him originally).. so now it is far away and not even in my parents salon.. its been about 10 years since i left my parents house.. However in the university days i used to practice in the main auditorium of the university and the chancellor gave me a permission to access it whenever i wanted. i used to enjoy my time but my problem is that i had to use it during my class breaks which doesn't give me a lot of time.. and most of the free time i had in the evenings it was not possible to access.. So i was still suffering.. Especially that i was taking lessons with a great pianist which required a lot of practice.. Anyway i graduated then, and ever since i graduated i couldn't play a note on a piano or touch one.. And the whole time that for me was like swimming and not being able to touch land.. so the important part is that yesterday.. Exactly between 5 and 5:30 pm the Yamaha delivery people nocks on the door.. and in 10 minutes they unwrapped the ebony mirror finish forte piano and installed it in the living room.. That was my wife's gift for my birthday.. i really cant express how touched, happy and completely awestruck i am.. i was seriously in shock the whole time, even though i knew before that she is getting me one.. but still i had to see it in my house.. it was a moment from another world.. i was just sitting and looking at it from far.. imagining all the years to come that i will spend practicing my favorite piano pieces for Chopin and the gang.. later i went out for coffee and came back home and that moment was the first moment where i was alone with the piano.. so i sat on it to start my practice and reflex my figures.. and i started practicing the Nocturne in E minor for Chopin.. i staid practicing until 1 am and then forced my self to go sleep as i have work at 8 in the morning.. however i did put my alarm at 5 am to wake up early and practice some more but my STUPID Black *ucking Berry DIDNT RING and gave me an attitude problem.. so i woke up on my wife's call 15 minutes to 8.. so i had to rush to the office.. now i cant wait to go back home.. the office hours now seem so much longer.. i will go home in the lunch break... i really doubt that from today onwards, i will have time for anything.. after work, from 6 pm and until i sleep i will be practicing with a dinner break if i had any.. man yesterday was awesome.. an anchor point in my life.. i was so happy that i was kissing the piano every half an hour.. and in the morning today i went to the living room to see if it was still there..
I love you nadeen.. you are the best wife any person could dream off.. and no it is not just because of the piano..
